Internships

Preeminent criminal defense attorney Oliver Storch encourages enthusiastic law students who are interested in criminal law to apply for an exciting internship in his criminal defense practice.  Interns have the opportunity to work with Mr. Storch’s successful practice for a semester, a summer, or for even a year.

Mr. Storch’s criminal defense internship allows interns to participate in federal and state court proceedings for various offenses.    As an intern, you will have the opportunity to assist Mr. Storch in pre-trial stages for criminal defendants, including arrest, initial presentment, detention, and other pre-trial hearings.  You will also get to assist Mr. Storch in his criminal trial work as he guides his clients through the criminal justice system.  Criminal defense interns at this law practice will interview and brief clients who are incarcerated in city, state and federal jails.  The interns will also assist in drafting various criminal defense motions and memoranda.

Law students may receive externship credit with prior approval from their law schools.

Stipends may also be available to assist interns with their expenses.

Interns with foreign language skills are encouraged to apply, but having this skill set is not required.  Mr. Storch also encourages law students from traditionally underrepresented groups in the legal profession or in the judiciary to apply for an internship.
